Lesson Plans for May 7-18, 2012
Each morning starts with Free Play, Breakfast and a Morning Activity, followed by the Academy Prayer, Circle Time and Restroom Breaks. After Lunch, there is Recess followed by Quiet Time from 12:30-2:30 p.m.

Monday
Literacy & Language: Create and construct the letter "P" with sequins.
Social Studies: In these two weeks we will be discussing how important it is to Recycle, Reuse and Reduce. How it saves Money and cleans our environment.
Centers: Free play.
Physical Education: Walk exercise to the music
Gross Motor Time: Bubbles outside on patio.
Tuesday
Sign Language Lesson: Powerpoint presentation on Reduce, Recycle, reuse, pig, pickle, popcorn, 16, octagon, black, parrot,puppies, pizza.
Health: Get up and Move: Toddlers will be spending lots of time outdoors: walks around the building, stretching, etc.
Physical Education: Play outside.
Music and Movement: Musical instruments: Wheels on the Bus.
Gross Motor Time: Play with the soccer balls outside.
Wednesday
Literacy & Language: Letter P art activity.
Praise and Bible Service: Coloring page out of ABC Bible story book "God's Provision for the 5,000."
Centers/Table Toys: Cars, kitchen, Puzzles.
Library: Read Toddlers' favorite books brought from home.
Gross Motor Time: Play with the jump ropes outside.
Thursday
Spanish Lesson: Go over vocab words in Spanish.
Cooking: Cooking with the letter "P", playing in our kitchen with play-doh.
Library: Read Books about animals and pets (teacher-initiated and student's choice)
Art: Art project using theme numbers, colors, shapes and alphabet letters.
Gross Motor Time: Play with outside riding toys on patio.
Friday
Science: Show how balloons pop.
Math: Introduction to number 16, using our shape and color of the week in different related art projects.
Literacy and Language: Go outside, weather permitting, and read.
General Music Class: Sing songs, "Where are the bunnies?"
Gross Motor Time: Play with the basketballs.
