Lesson Plans for May 7-18, 2012

Each morning starts with Free Play, following by Breakfast and a Morning Activity, followed by the Academy Prayer, Circle Time and Restroom Breaks. After Lunch, there is Recess followed by Quiet Time from 1-3 p.m. Each day, Snack Time is at 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 - 5 p.m. is Review of Morning Circle Time.

Monday

Literacy & Language: Grp 1: Beginning sounds worksheet; Grp 2: Touch and count the objects then trace the number; Grp 3: Flash cards (all). 

Social Studies: Review phone numbers and addresses.

Science: Separate recycled items brought in. 

Centers/Table Toys: Free play.

Physical Education: Fun floor exercises to music.

Gross Motor Time: Free play.

Tuesday

Sign Language Lesson: Review classroom phrases.

Math: Grp 1: Use recycled items to make a graph chart; Grp 2: How many lions; Grp 3: Math with blocks.

Library: Research recycling and reusing. 

Cooking:  Happy Earth activity book. 

Music and Movement: Play musical puzzle

Gross Motor Time: Free Play

Wednesday

Literacy & Language: Grp 1: 2 Letter Xx Worksheets. Grp 2: Beginning sounds; Grp 3: Review D, E, F.

Praise and Bible Service: Read "A Bright Light"; coloring page.

Centers/Table Toys: Free Play

Library: Go to Library and check out books

Gross Motor Time: Free play

Thursday

Spanish: Review classroom phrases.

Social Studies: Review tying shoes.

Physical Education: Telephone tongue twisters.

Health: Unit 3 HALO (Healthy Alternatives for Little Ones) Program.

Art: Blow art with straws. 

Gross Motor Time: Free Play

Friday

Literacy and Language: Grp 1: Things that Rhyme worksheet; Grp 2: Look at the picture and cut the different; Grp 3: Cutting letters out that spell their name.

Math: Grp 1: Complete the pattern worksheet; Grp 2: Write the letter X and number 16; Grp 3: Math with beans

Science: Raisin rising

Centers/Table Toys: Show and Tell. Please bring items from home related to our Curriculum Theme.

General Music Class: Practice singing songs for upcoming Preschool graduation.
