GBT Children's Academy announces OUR LENDING LIBRARY! Please see the Curriculum page for more information about this program.

To enhance and promote imagination and learning, the Academy is divided into individual rooms for specific age groups.

Noah's Ark Room (Infant I)

First, we have the Noah’s Ark Room, which is for infants six weeks to 12 months (Precious Lambs). To promote visual stimulation, this room consists of a mural of Precious Moments and Animals on the Ark. There is a no shoe policy for this infant room and designated areas for play and for breast feeding.


Safari Room (Infant II)

The Safari Room is for our youngest toddlers ages 12-20 months (Twinkling Toddlers),


Under the Sea Room (Toddlers) 

The Under the Sea Room is for our children 20-24 months (Buzzing Bees), and 24-36 months (Growing Grasshoppers).   The mural in this room has a whale, turtle and other underwater life forms.


The Meadow Room (Preschoolers)

The Meadow Room has been designated for preschool children ages three to five years (Dynamic Dolphins). This room consists of a mural with trees, flowers and grasslands with small animals and other meadow creatures including birds, insects and reptiles.


Before & Afterschool Program (School-agers)

The school-agers join us both in the mornings and afternoons. When Omaha Public Schools are closed, the school-agers attend our full-day service.  This summer's program theme is "Hands On Summer: A Trip Around the World" offered Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. from May 23 through August 12. 


Lamb Chop's Healthy Café

The eating area is entitled Lamb Chop’s Healthy Café. Children learn proper hygiene, table manners and how to make healthy food choices.


Outdoor Classrooms

Available to all children is an outdoor, gated recess area complete with age appropriate playground equipment. There is a secondary gated patio area for the children to free play time. We also have three gardens as additional outdoor classrooms which include flowers, herbs and vegetables. The vegetable garden includes the exploration of such vegetables as carrots, spinach, cabbage, turnips, onions, peas, corn, green beans, tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, and pumpkins.
